Teen Retreat Changed to TEEN DAY

The Teen Retreat scheduled for this coming weekend is now a TEEN DAY AT ARDANTANE, Saturday July 17, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Teens and parents can join us for a day of magickal workshops, hiking, discussions, and activities. Both teens and parents are welcome to submit ideas for activities, and the final selection will be made when we gather at 9:00 am. Some POSSIBLE activities:

ü Classes or workshops on Pagan and magickal topics: Wicca, Druidry, Asatru, Goddess Spirituality, Pagan ethics, magick for health and protection, symbols and sigils, ritual tools, creating your own altar, Tarot and other forms of divination, animal magick, etc.

ü Rituals for any positive, ethical purpose; perhaps a Waxing Moon esbat.

ü A hike, either on the Canyon Trail with instruction in desert hiking and survival, OR on the Seeker's Path, with an activity at each of the seven altars along the trail.

ü Crafts such as mask-making, wand-making, making your own Tarot cards, etc.

ü Discussions on topics of concern to teens: life planning, Being Pagan in a Muggle World, developing your unique personality and style, etc.

ü Bardic circles: sharing songs, stories, chants, and more around the fire.

Lunch, and refreshments are provided. The cost is $50 for the first teen, $30 for each additional teen from the same family, and FREE to parents who accompany their teens. Payment may be made at the event. Unaccompanied teens MUST have a signed parental permission form (e-mail AmberK1@aol.com for the form). Folks are welcome to arrive the night before (Friday) or stay over the night after (Saturday), at no additional charge.
